Privuna Privacy Policy
Privuna helps users check supported files before sending them. The app is designed as a local-first privacy checkpoint for PDFs, documents, screenshots and images.
Key principles
- Files, OCR text, extracted text, detections, redaction boxes and exported copies stay on your device.
- Privuna does not use a backend or cloud AI to process your documents.
- Privuna Pro unlocks verified flattened exports, metadata cleanup and export checklists.
- Apple handles App Store purchases and subscription billing through StoreKit.
Document data
The app may process PDFs, DOCX files, RTF files, TXT files, screenshots and images on your device so it can extract text, run local checks, show suggested redactions and create a clean export.
Privuna does not send your documents, OCR text, extracted text, detections, redaction boxes or exported copies to a backend or cloud AI service.
Metadata and export
Privuna may inspect file metadata locally to identify privacy risks. Verified export creates a new flattened copy and removes or reduces unsafe metadata for supported file types.
Subscriptions
Purchases and subscriptions are handled by Apple App Store and StoreKit. Apple may process payment and subscription data under Apple's own privacy terms. Privuna reads subscription entitlement status so the app can unlock Pro features.
Device permissions
The app may ask for access to files, images or share workflows when you choose to import content. Imported content is used for local analysis and export only.
Important limitation
Privuna helps reduce accidental leaks before sharing files, but it does not guarantee that every possible sensitive detail will be detected. Always review the file before sharing.
