What does FileVeil do?
FileVeil is a pre-send privacy checkpoint. It checks supported files locally, suggests redactions, lets you adjust boxes manually and helps create a flattened verified export with metadata cleanup.
Does FileVeil upload my documents?
No. In App Store v1, FileVeil does not use a backend or cloud AI to process your documents. Files, OCR text, extracted text, detections, redaction boxes and exported copies stay on your device.
Which files are supported?
FileVeil App Store v1 supports PDF, DOCX, RTF, TXT, screenshots and common image formats where platform support allows. Legacy DOC files are not supported in v1.
What does FileVeil Pro unlock?
FileVeil Pro unlocks verified flattened exports, metadata cleanup and export checklists after local review. Free review still includes import, local scanning, risk preview and manual redaction adjustment.
How do I restore a purchase?
Open FileVeil, go to the Pro or plan screen and choose Restore Purchases. Apple handles App Store purchases and subscriptions.
How do I manage or cancel a subscription?
Apple manages App Store subscriptions. Open your Apple Account settings, choose Subscriptions, then manage FileVeil Pro.
Does FileVeil guarantee that every sensitive detail is detected?
No. FileVeil helps reduce accidental leaks before sharing files, but it does not guarantee that every possible sensitive detail will be detected. Always review the file before sharing.
